UKEV Early Careers Researcher Committee

We have a new event!

The UK Society for Extracellular Vesicles (UKEV) ECR Committee is delighted to invite the EV community to:

πŸ”¬ EVs Towards the Clinic: Where Are We and What Comes Next?

πŸ“… Wednesday 28 October 2026
πŸ• 13:00–17:10 UK time
πŸ’» Online via Microsoft Teams
🎟️ FREE to attend

Extracellular vesicle research has advanced enormously β€” but how do we take the next step towards meaningful clinical translation?

Where are we now? What scientific and technological challenges are still holding us back? And what role can the next generation of EV researchers play in moving the field forward?

We’re bringing together students, ECRs, established researchers and the wider EV community for an afternoon of science, translation, career development and community engagement.

The programme will feature:

πŸ”Ή 3 invited scientific talks exploring EV translation
πŸ”Ή 4 selected ECR scientific talks – 12 min + 3 min Q&A
πŸ”Ή ECR Flash Talk Showcase – ~3 min, one slide
πŸ”Ή SNEV / ISEV engagement and opportunities to connect with the wider international EV community
πŸ”Ή Career Development + Q&A covering grants, fellowships, CVs and academic/industry career development
πŸ”Ή πŸ† Best ECR Scientific Presentation and Best ECR Flash Talk Awards

πŸ“£ CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We want to showcase the breadth of research being undertaken by ECRs across the EV community.

All areas of extracellular vesicle research are welcome β€” your work does not need to be clinical or translational.

Fundamental EV biology, methodology, technologies, diagnostics, therapeutics, biomarkers, translational research and everything in between are encouraged.

πŸ“„ Maximum abstract: 250 words
⏰ Deadline: 30 September 2026
πŸ“© Successful presenters notified: 12 October 2026

ECR presentation opportunities are open to postgraduate researchers and researchers within five years of their PhD award. Attendance at the meeting, however, is open to everyone, regardless of career stage.

πŸ‘‰ Register and/or submit your abstract:
